Chinderah
is an easy drive to the Gold Coast and the theme parks, as well
as the natural beauty of Mount Warning and the World Heritage National
Parks nearby. Pleasure and fishing cruises are available along the
Tweed River, and river and beach fishing is another popular pastime.

Famous for excellent
beaches fishing from both beaches and estuary, and a great place
for canoeing, Pottsville holds an annual Raft Race Day in which
a whole range of contests for toddlers upward add to the family
fun on the safe waterways.
Hastings
Point, between Pottsville and Cabarita,
is an attractive wetlands area with canoes for hire, which can be
paddled along the many estuaries. The Pottsville Beach Bicentennial
Environment Park is another attraction for bushwalking and picnics,
and there are other picnic areas on the beachfront. There are also
tennis courts and a nearby golf course for sporting enthusiasts. |
